A long time ago I ordered bearings for the rear wheels of my Audi 80CD.
The dealer asked if I wanted genuine Audi or local bearings. I opted
for genuine Audi. When the package arrived, the bearings were actually
marked "British Timken" - which is about fifteen miles from where I
live. I asked Timken how much _they_ charged, and discovered I'd paid
an 80% markup for these bearings to go on a grand tour of Europe.
