Flywheel/Cluth Positioning pins

Howdy everyone,
	I have a question.  The Audi 4kq Flywheel has 3 BIG positioning
pins for the clutch and a few smaller ones.  WHat are the smaller ones
there for.  The big ones are the only ones needed right???  I knwo the
5ktq has a hall sensor pin on the opposite side but what are these for?  I
lighened my Flywheel and the shop said they were not needed.  I jsut want
to verify that before it gets to late.
