Coy's
We're now in the run-up to Coy's International Historic Festival at
Silverstone.
The UK Audi quattro Owners Club doesn't have a stand inside the circuit
this year - the number of visitors to the stand last year just didn't
justifiy it. We _will_ have the accustomed Club parking area just
outside Copse Corner (turn left at the main entrance and keep going)
and there'll be overnight camping, evening barbecues, etc., organised
by those nice chaps from Area C1.
The quattros won't be on the circuit this year, but they will be at
the Rallysprint at 17:00 on the first day - this is probably the only
track event of the weekend worth watching for the true quattro
afficionado. There _is_ all sorts of other stuff - pre-war, post-war,
Lagondas, vintage Bentleys, Le Mans cars, the Ferrari/Maserati
challenge, etc.
Usual general rubbish - Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Flight, hot air
balloons, etc.
About 65,000 people expected over the weekend - 30 July to 1 August.
Nearest railway station is probably Northampton. The poserphone number
in my .sig will be the central control point for the weekend.
