Wooden shift knobs

I have such a silly question to ask.  But I've asked the dealer and
searched the web until late at night and came up empty handed.

Does anyone know where I can get a polished wooden shift knob for a '98 A4
AUTOMATIC?

And is this something that a person can install himself.  Other than taking
a screw driver and prying the two halves apart I can't figure out how to
remove the original.
