TT experience (was 2000 S4 BT Driving Impressions (TT reference))

Wonderful car. My wife wants one. We sometimes "fight" (not really) over
who takes it. There is plenty of cargo space for most daily errands and
activities. Passengers (in the plural) present a problem.

Alas, the past week I've had to drop off my and neighbor's kids at camp, so
I've been forced to take the V8. I'm used to having my "real" car stay
behind when I've got to carry passengers because the TT replaced a Corvette
(and a 4kq). However, there is just enough of a tintillating back seat in
the TT to make me think I wouldn't have to do that so often. My wife, son,
and I can go places in it, though I doubt I'd inflict a 4-hour trip on my
son that way. Add an additional child and you have to move the driver seat
forward into an uncomfortable driving position to make leg room in the rear.
So for me, it is a 2+1, and a 2+2 for short trips (<5 miles) only. It is
not a practical only-car for someone with a family, but is the cat's meow if
you can have more than one car or don't fit the family mold.

It is a *bummer* having to drive the V8. :^) The V8 used to seem like the
most solidly built car imaginable; unbelievable that it has 123k miles on
it. Now, compared to the TT, it seems like just a used car.
