Easier to just adjust the clevis actuator rod so that depressing the
pedal causes the piston to travel the whole length of the cylinder.
That's what your real problem was - air in the master cylinder. If you
look at the angle at which the master cylinder is mounted, air can
remain in the upper sector of the cylinder and not go automatically
back up the line to the reservior - the whole thing is at an angle.
