'83 UrQ water temp

    With summer on us in Los Angeles, I have a few questions regarding normal 
water temperature on the above car. ai bought the car in March, with a newlly 
rebuilt motor. I have ABT water gauge ( VDO ) at 100 to 250 degrees 
graduation. i have a new VDO
water sender , the car runs, in my mind, at 220+ degrees; not full out. 
     Anyone with aux gauges please respond what kind of temps you are 
getting. I don't like running around with the heater on at 240 degrees.
