I've just attempted to move the bolt with my biggest ratchet (1/2" x 10"
handle - standing on it) and it won't budge in any direction (car in 5th
ebrake on).  I get a little rotation out of the crank (maybe 4 or 5 degrees)
as drive line slack is taken up, but nothing else.

I hadn't noticed the wobble before, but then again I hadn't been staring at
it hoping for some inspiration either :-) I'd really like to change the
timing belt but I don't want to get stuck in the middle with no way to get
this thing loose.  It seems that the bolt is tight - no movement - and the
pulley assembly as well.  It just has this little wobble.

Kind of hoped the Audi gods were doing me a favour.

Which do you suppose is more likely; that the pulley is bent or has been
installed improperly?
