Rear subframe bushings



I need to change the rear outer subframe bushings on my '87 5kS.
Can I do it with the subframe still attached to the car and "normal"
tools, or do I have to take the car to a mechanic with a hydraulic
press to get it done ($$)?

The new bushings look like they are supposed to go "right" in with a
little pressure, but the old ones are stuck. Are they supposed to be
that tight, or is it just stuck, like everything else on that car?
(180k miles and sitting for 6 months outside)

BTW: It's a turbo diesel, I need to pull the head to change gasket,
but how do I reach the bolts that hold the exhaust pipe to the turbo?
I have removed one of the three bolts, but how do I reach the other
two? One is "blocked" by the exhaust manifold, the other is "blocked"
by some heat shield. I've done this work before, but never on a car
with a turbo.
