Sad Sight

Well, I just got back from the body shop ... where I happened to notice the
tail of a new TT poking out of one of the bays.  Apparently someone nosed a
denim blue TT into something or someone ... apparently not a tree ... :-)
The car still had the dealer plates on it, but the body shop guy said that
it it was a car that someone had purchased.   Interestingly enough it does
appear that the hood of the TT is designed to fold in the middle as was
described for other cars.  It was also a unique opportunity to see the
drivetrain with the hood, core support and forward parts of the car removed
... it sure is a tightly integrated package!  It looked pretty clean too ...
unlike the bumper ... I guess I'll have to go to a dealer and pop the hood
to see what it looks like in its intended environment :-)

The body shop guy told me that it is almost impossible to get information or
parts for the car ... not a big surprise for such a new model in the states
...

I guess someone's got to be first!
