There is a circlip you need to pop off on the door skin side of
the glass carrier.  Once the circlip is off the window glass
will simply slip off the little metal dowel.  I used a strong metal
nail (with its sharp end bent 90 degrees on a vice) to do this.
It's a snap.  Putting the circlip back on will take a bit of dexterity.

Some people remove the outer door skin to do this, but I loath to
go to such lengths.  Have to realign everything again, etc.
