Title: Stranded UrQ - Help!

I drove one block from home this morning and the car died.  Windows are down and there is no electricity available to shut them.  Had to leave my baby open to the elements.
Symptoms:
Over the last two days the car twice "hiccupped".  The tach dropped to 0 momentarily and then it caught itself and so I didn't have to restart it.
Today it started immediately and before I drove off it again hiccupped.
It drove normally one block and then it completely shut down and I coasted it to the side of the road.
Turn the key and there is nothing - no warning lights, no starter.
Open door and no warning buzzer for key in ignition.
It's as if there is no battery in the car - not like a rundown battery where relays click and at least the warning lights come on.
However , radio works fine!

What have I done? (to the audi gods)

Any suggestions?
