Re: downpipe to kitty bolts on a 5kt
Marc,
Have you tried an open end wrench? I think with the exception of one of the
three bolts they are fairly easy to reach. The one, I recall, is a major
pain. Have you also tried leveridging a large screwdriver between the bolt
head and tailpipe. This will sometimes prevent the bolt head from turning. I
live in the Northeast, and have found that sometimes the exhauts bolts are
too rusty and have to be cut off with a reciprocating saw. As a suggestion.
I always replace any exhaust bolts that I remove with Stainless Steel
replacements (available at most hardware and/or marine stores). The
Stainless bolts aren't cheap but if you ever mess with your car's exhaust
system a second time you will thank yourself for spending the extra money
now. Good Luck on the project.
Regards
Mark
