we have an intersection somewhat like that.  a 3 way 'T' intersection with
stop signs on only 2 sides - the base and left arm of the T.  when you are
particpating in the stop sign ritual - alternating back and forth - with
traffic from the other stop-sign-direction, it's easy to forget that the cars
coming in the 3rd direction don't have to stop for some strange reason.  have
seen many major near misses here.
