'89 200TQ - Source(s) of Bearings for Tranny

Fellow Listers:

The source of the transmission noise that I've been hearing for some time
has been located. Evidently a PO of my Quattro did not consider minor
things like gear oil to be a necessity. As a result, most of the bearings
in the transmission are shot; one has come apart and showered metal
fragments throughout the trans. and differential. The repair is being
handled by a reputable transmission shop in Knoxville. The shop is telling
me I need all the trans. and differential bearings, a new clutch, and
possibly a new slave cylinder and synchronizer rings (I know about the
'while you're in there replace the pilot bearing, etc. thread).
Fortunately, the TORSEN differential is OK, with the exception of its
bearings.

The shop is familiar with Quattro repairs but was not aware of the Quattro
List. So, I educated them today about BLAU and some other qlist sources for
some of the items and saved about $500 in the process [Wouldn't have been
possible without this list !!!]. Howsomeever, the shop's bearing warehouses
do not have any of the bearings, so the shop has priced them through the
local Audi dealer (I'm having them check with Carlsen Audi, also, for a
qlist discount).

My question to the list - Does anyone know of specific sources for these
bearings other than thru Audi? Please reply privately as I really need some
input ASAP. Any help much appreciated.
