Five cylinder injection throttle body clean

I did a really nice little clean up job on the throttle body on my Coupe Q yesterday, amazing how much hard oil and petrol etc there is on the rear of the plates. Took out the idle screw as well, filthy. I used a spray can of Wynn's carb cleaner and a soft rag, I am always amazed by how good this stuff is at cleaning these parts. Put the body back on and get increase in tickover of 500 rpm, after re adjusting the car ticks over much more smoothly and seems to have a much chrisper throttle response. Worth doing especially if your car has anything over 100k on it. Don't forget a new gasket between body and inlet manifold.

On another subject, those of us with bad idle screw O rings, how about your local scrapyard with tons of old 5 cyl 100's now turning up, easy mine don't charge for them.
