Jeff correctly points out something I hadn't considered.  My car is already
butched up; so that begs the questions why not tweak?  Guess I must give
this more serious thought.  I think my first route would be to try some
radical stuff with the I-5 and see where she breaks.  By that's just
speculation at this point.

One point of interest.  I have already been talking to the Chevy experts on
how to go from 285hp/325torque to bumping the magic 400/400 numbers.  It
would appear I can hit that for less than the cost of an RS2 turbo and an
upgraded exhaust.  That does seem to have some attraction.  It's really nice
(and somewhat baffeling) to be able to look at the Summit catalog and have a
plethora of choices for ANY engine tweak.
