Audi bumpers are made of granite

Folks,
some bizarre events in our lives make even this atheist physicist want
to turn three times around and throw some salt over the left shoulder.
See for yourself.

The ink has barely dried out on my Tue post about the indestructible
44-chassis Audi rear bumpers as the very next morning my wife's A4 got
baptised by a "huge American car" as she described it.
My wife has a habit of coming to a complete stop at stop signs. The
driver behind her evidently expected a "California stop" and slammed
into her car throwing it several metres forward into the crossing
street. Fortunately the street was empty at the moment. 
She is absolutely fine, thanks to the racing Cobra Daytona cocooning her
all around with the heap and shoulder bolsters and extending up to the
top of her head.

The A4 does not have a single scratch on the bumper! And that bumper is
Pearl White of all colours. So now it's official: the A4 proudly carries
the safety banner of her bigger brethren.
