My V8 runs close to 100, with high 90 deg and 60 -70 % rel humidity.  
These conditions give about 80 - 90 kj/kg of enthalpy, which is pretty high.

That seems a little high Bryan.  You might want to check the gauge 
though.  I wouldn't trust any factory gauges, especially on an older car.

Under normal conditions, my V8 runs less than 80 deg C, and the oil temp 
needle barely moves.  One of these days I'll stick a thermocouple down the 
dipstick to measure the oil temp.
