I just read about somebody repairing a 944 turbo headgasket doing something 
similar (current issue of Excellence) but given the amount of work involved 
in modifying the OEM gaskets, why not make them out of .060 solid copper 
instead?   

I know *somebody* used to offer oversize gaskets for these motors but it's 
been several years since I had any reason to follow up on them ... still 
searching.
