RE: Quattro dig.#276-4kcsq fixes

Mike,
I acquired mine 3 mos. ago after sitting in storage for 3 yrs. Pretty much
anything rubber had deteriorated. Here is a partial list:
Group 1-Pass Inspection/Safe to drive
    1. Brakes and brake lines
    2. Fuel lines (fuel pump replaced b/c it was singing too loudly)
    3. Upper strut bushings (front and, soon, rear)
    4. Front control arm bushings
    5. Headlights (think salvage yard or new "euro's" for an upgrade)
    6. Tires
    7. Emergency brake system check

Group 2-Reliability/General preventative maintenance
    1. Belts and hoses
    2. Thermostat and thermoswitch (base of radiator fan relay)
    3. Coolant temp sensor
    4. Timing belt and water pump
    5. Change oil and filter, drive 50-100 miles, change oil and filter
    6. Techron in FRESH tank of fuel (helps to flush injection system)
    7. Buy a Bentley manual (I have yet to buy one, but it is on my list)

If I can be of any further help, please e-mail me at Gfbourcier@aol.com. I'm
glad you found the q-list; it has been a great source of info for me over the
last 3 months.
