89 200tqa - electrical components
Does anyone know where the following components are located in an early
89 200tqa?
* T8c - eight point wire connector, brown, a/c harness
* Injector cooling fan relay. Fuse 21 goes to this, but cant find it in
the aux fuse diag.
Looks like there are 2 coolant temp sensors, one for a/c and the other
for ECU. One is above multitemp switch, the other is located forward of
that one. Which is which?
Read through archives about leaking injectors. My car has the
no-start-if stalled condition + lousy idle when cold. Cleaned and
cleaned the idle valve yesterday, which only made matters worse!
So, I'm guessing injector shield/orings are worn and leaking air when
cold. And maybe fuel too - I am gettign about 15-16 mpg, which I am very
surprised with.
Do these injectors really 'leak' fuel, or just air. Looking the the CIS
injector diag in the Probst FI book, looks like there is a very basic
spring loaded valve in it (unlike the Ljet/Motronic injectors which use
a magnet+coil and need current to open), so I dont see how it 'leaks'
easily.
Does this car have a cold start injector? Have not run into it yet, if
it exists? Where is it?
I had ordered all the seals, orings etc, to service the injectors when I
bot the car. SHould I return all this stuff and just order new
injectors? What's the advice of the BTDT gurus?
Thanks again for all the help. Samir.
