leafing through a march 8, 1935 copy of autocar (as you do), and can report
that the dkw cabriolet ("dkw is produced by a firm belonging to the group of
car manufacturing companies known as the auto union") is featured.  complete
with a vertical 2 cylinder transverse 2-stroke motor of 684cc, producing
20hp.  the chassis has fully independent suspension.  wheelbase 8'7".  the
quality of handling and comfort were remarked on.  price was 125gbp.

top speed is 55mph, so 0-60mph requires a cliff top.
