Any clues on window alignment on a CGT/4000 regulator rebuild?

I did the other side, and while the cable repair itself went
quickly, I cannot adjust the window so that it doesn't bind while
going up.  I must have just lucked out on the passenger side.
Before the cable broke, the drivers side was actually faster and
smoother than the passenger window, so there must be a way.

The glass seems to want to go out of the guide at the rear edge as
it gets within two or three inches of being closed.  I have tried
all combos of bolting the window carrier to the cable driven
slider.  At one extreme the window even binds going down.  I've
unplugged the motor for the time being to prevent stressing the
cable --but it's HOT in here w/o AC!!!  --Gary
