Canadian S4 Pricing

Just got off the phone with my dealer and he informed me that the price for 
the new S4 I ordered will be $57,000 Canadian +++ so we're talking close to 
$70,000 (incl. all special and regular taxes) to drive it off the lot 
(ouch!).

Btw - he got 2 cancellations yesterday after they were told the price.

He also received a fax this morning advising of pending delays in 
production and a possible reduction in the Canadian allocation (mine 
has/had an October production date).  Although he did state that a few S4's 
will be delivered in September (pre-sold) to a few "select" dealers in 
major market areas in Canada.

In comparison ($$$ only so hold those flames), the list on a '99 M3 is 
$62,900 and the '00 M3 (available next spring) will be $64,000.  I called a 
BMW dealer I know and he has a new '99 M3 sitting on his lot that he is 
willing to let go for $55,000 (no trade).

Our initial thought was to trade the S6 but after getting this price if we 
pursue this purchase we may trade the A4 instead.

Curious - what's the '00 S4 and '99 M3 selling for in the states...
