1990 200tqw - window will not go up (sent previous by mistake)

Yes the passenger side window will not go up. Whether operated by either the
switch on the driver's side or the one on the passenger side.  I can get the
window down with either switch.  I can get the window up by placing 12v
directly on the motor thru wires 1 and 2.  I also get 12.1v thru the 4 wire
with either the 3 or 5. According to the way the switch works, you should be
able to jump 5 to 2 and 4 to 1 to get the window up, but it does not work
with the key on).  However, if you connect 3 to 2 and 1 to 4 , the window
will go up.  I understand why this works but the switch does not do this.  I
have looked for broke or frayed wires at the doors but do not see any.
Something is strange about Wire number 5. It is continuous from one switch
to the other.  I am baffled.  TIA
