Seems like an awful lot of trouble to listen to music that has a more limited bandwidth than cd's, which are themselves a bandwidth limited format (contrary to the ridiculous "perfect sound forever" claims once made for them).  Not to mention that the trunk of a car probably isn't the best location for a home PC.  I can't imagine that something designed to sit on a desk would hold up well to the vibrations of a moving car.

Still, it's a neat idea, I just think that the only thing MP3 really has going for it is that it's free, and yes, I know, that is a significant plus.  I do like the idea of bypassing the record companies as well.

How long is that cord you're using anyway?
