S4/6 cam sensors

We've done them,

In the last 1.5 yrs we've done 2 at the shop. Neither car had a start
problem of any kind but would light the check engine light and leave a code
for the sensor on the 1551 print out. Also both would throw the code again
after cleared and driving. The sensor is $$$$$ and the install on both
cars included a t-belt and water pump.

I would think if you have a problem with the sensor you should have the
code too. we have

We have another S6 returning with a hot start problem. After a drive and
within 45 mins or so the car will crank but not start. The car has no
engine light on and no codes. Another shop put in a power module for the
spark. We put in a crank sensor, we did have a code for it once and even
though when cleared it did not reappear the owner decided to put in the
part anyway. I got a call and the no start reappeared. I see the car
friday. I'm hoping for a code. I don't like selling the guy parts for no
reason. And in the 48hrs we had the car it always started. I wish it
wouldn't.

I'll let you guys know what we turn up
