    Hey, I actually have a custom stereo installation business on the side.  
I think you would have an extremely hard time fitting 3-ways in the kick 
panels, but a 4 or maybe a 5" two way would be possible.  I have a problem 
with kick panels, however.  Theoretically they work great, as well as in 
competition stereo systems.  But this is the real world, physics will tell us 
that no amount of equidistant spacing of speakers will improve imaging when 
your buddy's (or your own for that matter) leg is blocking the speakers!  
Door panel installations are typically a good compromise between imaging and 
real world use.  Something to think about....
