hard shifting 200 qw

Recently, the shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd has become much harder
and "clunkier" on my 200 qw.
This was not a gradual change - it started doing this on Friday. It feels
like the syncros are blocking the shift.

Any ideas what I should look for? The trans oil level is fine. The motor
mounts LOOK fine. The clutch is fined based on the observation that recerse
is not a problem. 

Does anyone know what audi tool 3048 looks like? is there a substitute that
one can use to adjust the linkage?

Anyone have any suggestions?
