Several people have ALREADY responded to your posting.  You don't seem to
want to hear what they are saying.  I have responded to you directly about
an A/C question that you had--you didn't seem to want to hear what I was
saying to you, either.

Are you an experienced, ace mechanic?  Maybe you are, I don't know.  If you
aren't I recommend that you don't attempt to work on your syncros. The job
you're talking about is not something that someone can just "walk you thru"
via a few lines of email.  You're asking--no DEMANDING--that someone take at
least 30-60 minutes of their free time and answer this very complex question
for you in writing.  This method will ALWAYS result in more questions being
raised, and a request for MORE help from the person who was kind enough to
respond in the first place.

If you "get nasty" here, people will just ignore you and delete your posts.
This list is *certainly* about helping other people with their cars.  I know
many listers have put up with my stupid questions for a loing time now.
Many of them have been graciously answered--some have not.  That's the way
it is.  As for the email you received from someone saying all of us just
take our cars to the mechanic--that's absolute baloney.

There are some real Audi experts on this list.  Whether on a given day they
choose to respond to your or my questions is entirely up to them.  Neither
they, nor you, nor anyone on this list is obligated to respond to anyone
else at any time.  That's the nature of the beast.
