RE: raining on my q

In the past I have done this several times and done a variety of things. The
worst was when we had a hurricane and I received 3-4" of rain in my floor
board, not from windows/sunroof open but from storm water backwash. I had it
done professionally then, but when watching what they did, they did not do
anything much different from what I would have done.
They pulled out the seats and then vacuumed all the water out. Then they
placed it in the sun with the doors open and put big fans in and around the
doors to help dissipate the evaporating water. The only thing I can say I
would have done different (just lazy I guess) would be not to remove the
seats. Instead stuff towels under them and apply pressure to them while
replacing them constantly until they were barely moist. Then take a hair
dryer/fan and do the carpet under the seat. About the rest of the carpet you
can use a shop vac to suck out he water and then blot the carpets. After that
I would either fan it or leave the windows and sunroof cracked. Only bad
thing about being closed up is that the moisture might go to unwanted places,
say into electronics and as we all no that is somewhat wrong!
