RE: Speedometer problem '865KCSQT



The TSB people speak of is for the 89-91 100/200 series cars with an 
electronic speedo. The speedo in the 5000 series cars is a mechanical cable 
driven speedo.  If the operation is intermittent then there is a problem in 
the speedo head.  Some people have had luck repairing them, otherwise 
replacement is the only cure.  Sorry.

i have this prob in my '86 5kT.

i talked to Steinbru@vnet.ibm.com , and he told me to check out the TSB to
fix the speedos at:

check it out.  there may be a connection on your printed circuit board that 
isnt soldered.
