RE: re 80/90 Turnsignal R$elocation Wiring Success!
Kirby,
First of all, do you have enough 90q's? I am replacing the lenses
tonight with nice new ones. The old ones are emabarassing, all yellow and
very cracked, one even has a huge hole in it. I'll borrow my friends
digital camera when i take the assemblies out. I am going to warn you
though, this was the first time i attempted this and really had to wing-ding
it with the cuts, especially the metal from the reflective dome. It may not
look as pretty as it sounds but that is all hidden behind the bumper cover.
I also ditched the rear part of the fog light bucket. I am sure i could
have wired the system throught the whole in the back of the bucket but at
the time of night i was working on it, i really didn't care, as long as it
worked. the wirirng was the easies part and the least time consuming which
really suprised me since it was first attempt at doing any wiring work, i am
looking forward to installing the new Hella foglights which i ordered
yesterday. They are 2.25" in diameter and i will install them just to the
inside of the fog lights, i mean turn signals. I'll get pics of that too.
Actually I have lots of pics coming as Mike Williams and I are launching his
new website, urquattro.com. It'll have a whole section devoted to the 90
and 4000 as well.
