Except the TDI engines, the type 44 was delivered with I5 diesel
engines, with and without turbo. I have a turbodiesel myself, a 2.0
litre with 87 hp. In addition, the Audi 80 was delivered with 1.6 TD
and 1.9 TD engines. Construction pretty much the same of the
5-cylinder engines, just one cylinder less. The TDI engines are a new
(and expensive) chapter..
