Dash lites, 90 90Q 20v

Good afternoon! After spending a HUGE amount of completely wasted time
delving into the dash light problem on my fine ride, I've come crawling
to the list. I can't raise a peep out of the 20v list, maybe they found
out I'm buying a Coupe GT and I'm being ignored. Fuse blows, the cool
little circuit tester indicates a short in the circuit. With the light
switch off, the fault goes away, so it's between the light switch and
the rheostat, I think. Maybe farther along, I don't know. The book says
there's a relay in there for the dash lights. Anybody know where it is?
It doesn't appear to be where Bentley says it is, beside the cluster in
the upper center console. HELP!!!!
Any BTDTs?

I did get the clock bulb replaced, BTW, at least it wasn't all a waste.
Of course, it was neither of the 2 bulbs the dealer sent me, rather a
1.1w bulb like the 1.2w bulbs I keep in stock. So what if it's .1w too
bright?
