typ44 what's the diff. between 5spd and AT speedometers?

i was told the speedometers on the '86-'88 5kT AT, is different than the 
'86-'88 5kT 5spd.  what is the difference?  will a speedometer out of a 5spd 
turbo or TQ (same speedo) work in my AT turbo?
i have one of each car, but i was just wondering if anyone knew the 
difference, if there indeed is one.
