RE: New car discounts
I live in Detroit and I work in a unionized job and I catch a lot of flak
about my Audi. But I believe that as Americans, we do a lot of things very
well but we don't do:
Cars
TV's
or
VCR's

"I thought, "I wonder what metropolitan area has the highest concentration
of
Audi dealers". A quick stop at the US Postal Service web site to get the
zip codes of some popular cities, and back to the dealer locator. Here's
what I found:
Number of Audi dealers within 50 miles of the following cities:
NY - 23
L.A. - 12
Philadelphia - 9
San Fran - 8
Chicago - 7
Detroit - 4
Miami - 3
Dallas - 2
I wonder how many Audi dealerships are located in some overseas countries."
Wow - I'm surprised at how low some of those numbers are. I would have
thought for sure Chicago and Miami would have had more dealers and I'm
actually surprised to see Detroit has 4 - given its proximity to the Big 3
influence. But at least this answers my question as to why I hardly see
any Audis when I drive between Detroit and Denver.
Although we aren't considered overseas, even where I live I have 9 within
80km and 13 within 100km. I think Toronto would have about 10 and Montreal
around 6 or 7 and Vancouver must have 4 or 5 within 80km or 50 mile radius.
Interesting trivia.
