Air Flow Potentiometer ECS Blink
Every morning same thing:
Driving to post office, come over same little hill slow down for mild corner
and the ECS light blinks. Then idle goes bonkers as if the ISV had
experienced a short. Pull over restart everything is fine, doesn't happen
again all day. Car sits for 9 hours at work and does not have this problem
when I hop in it for the ride home. Get home pull codes and get 2232 "air
flow potentiometer wiring" then clear memory. .Seems to be associated with
the car coming to idle for the first time while coasting in Drive.
Also the same bonkers idle problem happens after fast, hard accelerating
above 90+mph highway driving when I come to stops for exits and toll booths.
The idle sometimes stays bouncing after the hard stop until I restart, or it
will stumble three or four times then correct and idle properly.
Air Flow meter recently replaced, wiring looks OK, yet have not tested
with multimeter. Fuel mixture is good, diff pressure reg is good, air flow
sensor plate is good, plunger is not sticking, ECU is good to my knowledge.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?
I have been digging through the Bosch fuel system book for answers, but
not much info on the potentiometer since it is only a part of KE systems.
Sorry to ask similar question as before, but the ECS light blinking is new
to me.
