re: help with 4kq no start

Thanks Huw & Tony.

Tony-
The fuse is there and intact. Forgot to mention that!

Huw-
Yes, when I tested the cold starting voltage at the cold start injector, I
initially thought "ah ha!" (as we all have at sometime or another with these
fine autos). I measured zero volts (or low, anyway) and I thought the temp
sensor was the culprit. However, when providing direct 12v from the battery
to the cold start injector, the car still wouldn't start. Only a
combination of 12v to the injector AND removing the jetronic relay and
jumpering with a short piece of wire will eventually produce a start,
although it does take some convicing. Leaving out either of the two will
not work.
Once the car starts, it idles roughly, but runs fine when revved up.

Is it just a coincidence that two seemingly seperate systems failed at once,
or is there a common connection between the control systems for the fuel
delivery and the cold start enrichment?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
