BIRA at Monterey?

Attention all S-car owners and those that have S-car front suspension: BIRA
is looking for a demo S-car that is going to the Historics and can install
the BIRA System 1, demo it to prospective buyers, and answer questions.

Here's the deal: I'm going to Lime Rock this weekend and I'll have the BIRA
brakes on my car. I've had several inquiries from others going to the
Historics about wanting to look at the brakes, but unfortunately the
Connecticut to California drive is a tad bit too far for me. I'm out of
vacation time anyway...<grin>.

So, if you have an 1992-1995 S4 or S6, have at least 16" wheels (factory
S-wheels OK) or BIRA-approved wheels
(http://www.bira.org/Brakes_wheels_weve_tried.html), and have a desire to
eventually upgrade your brakes, contact me.

Attached strings: you *MUST* become a member of BIRA (http://www.bira.org)
at your own expense ($20). Once that is established, then I will remove the
BIRA System 1 from my car after the Lime Rock weekend and send the parts to
you. You will not be required to buy any additional parts (I'll even supply
the brake pads), however you will be responsible for your own installation
and removal costs. I will expect that the parts will be returned to me after
the Historics; you will be responsible to maintain their condition
as-delivered to you (normal brake wear expected). Should you become so
enamored with the brakes that you wish to buy them (and trust me, you will)
then we can negotiate that later.

and when I return from Lime Rock I will contact you with our decision.
