BIRA at Monterey - a couple of thoughts
Greg:
As I read your post, I'm amazed at the advertisement (and considering some of
the discourse a couple months ago, it's amazing how the claims of "no
selling" has changed). So, bottom line: you get used brakes to take to
Monterey, pay 20bux to do it, answer questions based on little
knowlege/experience, and have to install and return the brakes at the loanees
own expense? What happens if the rotors get warped beyond specification (and
my understanding is that this has happened to this exact "kit" at least
once)? What happens if the warpage is experienced before one arrrives in
Monterey? Is BIRA going to fedex those hard to find rotors, and at who's
expense?
My next request requires Greg Amy, John Karasaki's, and BIRA's immediate
attention. A quick visit to the BIRA website you listed, was quite
interesting. Imagine my surprise to find not only some interesting claims,
but MY name and a direct MISQUOTE regarding brake upgrades attached to it.
TODAY, I advise you and John to immediately remove that specific misquote,
and any other quotes associated with me, my email address or my company.
Further, you and/or John never sought permission to use any statements I may
or may not have made in regards to brake upgrades. Right now, I'll give you,
and specifically John, the benefit of the doubt, that your enthusiasm in
selling, has shadowed good judgement.
I urge you to take immediate action now, this has legal ramifications to you,
John and BIRA. Can I make it anymore clear that you two have now totally
pissed me off?
I wish you good luck in your "qualifying" of brake loanees. I'll also throw
in, that Bob Dupree's LT1Q will have available a Big Red kit for direct
comparo at Monterey. Good luck gentlemen.
