That happened to me with my brothers 78 5000 about 16 years ago.  I took 
a drill with a very large bit and drilled right thru the center of the
 lock.  Then I used a large screwdriver and inserted it in the hole
and popped the trunk open.  I go another lock and had it rekeyed.

This was very drastic but I got the trunk open.
