Any tricks to removing 89 90q front bumper cap?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Stuck on trying to disengage the two guides located on left
and right sides of bumper cap.

Also, R Bentley shows that you need to push down on the
cap, after disengaging the two above guides, to release the
cap.  Any tricks to this, also?
