Fail how, and how soon? Seize and snap the timing belt, or stop
pumping? 100 miles or 1000 miles? :-)

The first would be a disaster for me, as the engine (turbodiesel) is
_extremely_ interference.. I get the new pump on Monday, but I may
have to drive about 30 miles on Monday morning. Will this possibly
wreck the old pump, so that I should look for other transportation?
