Re: Chirping LF Wheel?



The wheel bearings I had go became louder when the weight was shifted onto
them which doesn't seem the case here. Also the sound was not like a chirp.
So I wouldn't suspect a bearing.
Chirping can be caused by the brake pads. I'd first take them out and
reinstall them with fresh high temperature copper grease applied to _all_
contact patches between caliper and pad and between the brake piston and the
pad. The grease must not come into contact with the brake disc and the
braking surface of
the pad!!!
Hope that cures it. BTDT two days ago. Mine chirped RF.
