To quote directly from page 68 of the owners manual.......USE ONLY OIL FILTER 
PART # 056 115 561 G...AS OTHERWISE ENGINE DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.

There's a good chance that K&N filter lacks the crucial anti-drainback 
valving,,,,,
