It's an interesting new metric, though.  A lot of 'pushed' (i.e., hard
driven) I5s - especially MB engines - seem to have hot spots at the
rear of the exhaust manifold.  If #4 and #5 are getting more than their
fair share of air and are running lean as a consequence ...
