This falls into the same category as Lucas' sound effects
>for explosions in space, which only exist according the the Looney Tunes
>Laws of Physics ("But where was the kaboom? There was supposed to be an
>earth-shattering kaboom!")

Quick, Snotty, beam me back! There IS intelligent life on the internet!!!!
I've been pissing and moaning about exactly this basic blunder in
elementary physics since I first watched twilight zone on a 17" black and
white television (state of the art) way back when Ike was president!
Duuhh, there's no air in space, consequently, there's NO SOUND in space!
Lucas is only one of the latest in a VERY LONG line of TV and movie
producers who have gotten this wrong. It is as bad as King Arthur checking
his Rolex and saying "Launcelot is late to the meeting again. I wonder if
he's still fooling around with Queen Gwen?"
Yours in blissful intergalactic silence,
Mike Arman
