Huw!  You know I got penicillin for that...

Took the radiator and smeared a bunch of Permatex Radiator repair 
epoxy-eque stuff....Pretty secure, except for the slight leak.  Drove all 
the way to Montreal and back on about a liter of fluid.

My advice:
Take care of the main repair with generic epoxy, and seal cracks with the 
heat-seal plastic stuff...
